There's pros and cons and a different skill threshold for both. (Note that although most of these will work with FR and RSE, some of these will only be compatible with Fire Red.) Edit: Although decomp is a more modern way to hack and a lot of binary stuff is dated, this is still useful for those who want to use the CFRU or make simple hacks without delving into decomp stuff. However, in our preparation for the project we had accumulated a range of GBA-ready resources, i.e. Unfortunately we cancelled the project because of various factors - plans were reinvented, the project evolved and our lives had changed, so we decided that we wouldn't have the time or ongoing interest to see the project through. The hack was going to be a remake of Pokemon TCG GB 1&2, adapted into a Fire Red ROM hack with custom graphics and music and plenty of features. Me and my brother, a.k.a LibertyTwins, were planning and prepping for our ROM hack, Pokemon Mint, over the last 2 years.
